Catechesis. This may be an unfamiliar word to many, yet it is of great importance to the Christian life. It comes from the Greek word katacheo, which is used several times in the New Testament (Luke 1:4, Romans 2:18, 1 Corinthians 14:19). It literally means, "to sound from above." We get our English word echo from the same word. The Word is poured out on you from above, and you speak back what has been given. This is what it means to be a Christian! Catechesis is the process by which we are taught and trained in the Lord. It begins when you are baptized, and blossoms throughout your life.

All of our studies fall under the banner of catechesis, but we offer particular courses that are meant to give a "big picture" of the Faith. Youth catechesis, sometimes known as confirmation, is held on Saturday mornings at 10:30 am. All children are invited to Sunday School at 11am as well!
